Meet Sophie

This is Sophie!

She was a gift to my daughter for Christmas and she did not like her! Can you believe it? Who could not love such a sweet girl. I said, fine I will adopt her and so I named her Sophie. She helps me craft and watches me, and as the picture shows poses with my finished products.

I am sure Sophie will have more stories to tell as the weeks wear on so keep checking back.

Bye for now,

Love Sophie

I have been very productive the last few days making all kinds of shabby home decor treasures to sell on Etsy. I really had the bug to create items for Spring Time and Easter so that is what I did. I hope you like what you see. I am now working on my Valentine treasures and MORE Easter treasures!

Have a Good Week!

Frivolous Whimsy on Etsy

Hello to all!

My 2009 New Years Resolution was to offer handmade items on Etsy (which I started doing this month-December 2008)

Start a blog, which obviously I am doing right now.

And start a website to offer my products-in the process. YEAH!

I am a pre-school teacher by day and a Super-Hero by night!

I am a wife, mother to 4~ages 17, 14, 11, and 9. Daughter, Sister and Friend.

I love all things vintage and old, I live in an Old Farmhouse that is PINK~Bubble Gum Pink (not by choice it was that color when we moved into it 5 years ago-) I would like to side it a soft butter yellow, but our kids won't let us as they now like it this color and our home is fondly know as "the pink house" the only pink house in the county.

I have been a crafter all my life, I remember as a child finding scraps of fabric, thread and old clothes pins and hand sewing clothes for my clothes pin dolls that I made. My mother saved my first one as she still has it many years later. I have dabbled in most crafts, but I do not tat, crochet or knit. I have done, or currently do most other crafts.

My favorite materials are paint, wood, glass, Estate sale and Second hand store "junk", ribbons, trims, etc. I love taking old items and re-creating them into something new. I have added a picture of my latest creation-waterless snowglobes. This one is for sale on Etsy and features a pink roses and faux chocolate easter bunny. I am always looking to other talented artist for ideas and I hope to feature a few soon.

That is about all for me today. With the Holidays right around the corner this is a very busy time of year for all of us. Look for most of my blogs to be publised on Fridays-my day off from my 4 years olds!

Happy Holidays to all!
Christy
